Key Learnings
Technical constraints can unlock better solutions than perfect freedom
Instead of hiding EVALUE's counter-intuitive charging sequence, I transformed it into a guided experience using animation and haptics. The limitation became an opportunity for clear, deliberate user guidance that competitors lacked.
Innovation doesn't mean the most advanced technology
My ideal hardware for reservation system exceeded the budget. But finding middle ground — semi-automated parking locks — still enabled the world's first EV charging reservation system without massive capital investment.
